Technologies
Wet Scrubbers
Remove pollutants by absorbing them into a liquid. Ideal for soluble contaminants and often involve packed towers for improved gas-liquid contact. Can use multiple stages for different compounds.
Dry Scrubbers
Primarily used for acidic gases. Chemical reagents react with or absorb compounds at high speeds. Suitable for high temperatures and highly acidic exhaust streams.
Quenching Systems
Wet-scrubbing pretreatment that cools hot gas streams to adiabatic saturation, preventing evaporative losses in the scrubber and protecting downstream equipment.
